Only 1 specimen type required, unless otherwise specified

Volume: 10 mL 24 Hour Urine
Temperature: Refrigerate
Tube Type: 1 10 mL Urine tube
Collection Info:
1. 10 mL from a 24-hour urine collection. No preservative.
2. Collect in clean, plastic urine container with no metal  caps or glued inserts.
3. Send specimen in a plastic, 10 mL urine tube or a clean,  plastic aliquot container with no metal cap or glued insert.
4. Refrigerate specimen within 4 hours of completion of 24 hour  collection. Send specimen refrigerated.
5. 24 hour volume is required.

NOTE:
1. Patient should not eat seafood for a 48 hour period prior  to start of collection.
2. 24 HOUR VOLUME IS REQUIRED ON REQUEST FORM FOR PROCESSING.

Toxic concentration: >50 mcg/specimen
The concentration at which toxicity is expressed is widely variable between patients. 50 mcg/specimen is the lowest concentration at which toxicity is usually apparent.
