Clinical Utilities
RNA probe-based diagnostic test for the differential detection and identification of the causative agents for vaginitis: Candida species, Gardnerella vaginalis and Trichomonas vaginalis. The probe detects the following species of Candida: C. albicans, C. tropicalis, C, glabrata, C. keyfr, C. krusei, and C. parapsilosis. Screening for bacterial vaginosis may be considered in women at high risk for preterm labor.
